MALLORY, READ

Has anyone else noticed that the fire alarms go off in Canelands on a regular basis? Today the 'fire' caused me to leave my keys in a change room, meaning I had to wait half an hour in the cold for the stores to reopen to retrieve them. I guess I was alot better off than the poor women that had been getting there hair coloured at the time, they were sitting in the carpark with hairdressers attempting to keep there do's turning into disasters. I'll be sorry when theres a real emergency because I probably won't take the alarms too seriously.
Mallory I think I write these blogs for you, your the only one who reads them ha

FUnnnnnnn!

This weekend was probably the best I have had so far this year :) I was one of the 13000 people who attended Groovin the Moo on Saturday and it was definately worth the 6am wake up.
Sav and I got a lift up with Sarah early in the morning and made the trip in pretty good time. We only had two toilet stops which I thought was alright considering the girls in Jasmyn's car made atleast five ahaha.

We got into Townsville, dropped our stuff off with everyone staying at the Backpackers and continued drinking with them. It was so good to have PPNC together again for the first time in ages. After everyone was fairly drunk we wandered down to the bus stop and headed for Grooooooove. I got my bright green underage band at the gate : but it didn't bother me too much. From then on the day is just a blur of dancing and fun! My highlights would have to be Art vs Science, Miami Horror, The Grates, Little Birdy, Architecture in Helsinki, Hilltop Hoods and Muscles, although I was devostated because I was to sick at the end of the day to dance so I just sat at the back of the crowd with two bottles of water and enjoyed muscles from my spot on the ground (: It was amazing!

The plan for that night was to go uptown, meet Mallory and make our way back to her place but by the time we got back to get our stuff I was to sick/exhausted to move let alone go out. So Sav and I slept on the floor of Haylee, Rosie, Britt ect.'s room which was filled with twelve bodies by the end of the night. It was probably the most uncomfortable sleep I've had in my life but that's what you get for being disorganised!

Sunday was such a good day aswell, a group of us went and got Maccas for breaky/lunch and went shopping for a few hours. I picked up the sweetest cardigan or whatever you'd like to call it at Boo Yah , (which I have decided is one of my favourite shops, I always get something cool from there when I make a trip up to Tville) it's cream with a picture of a wolf snarling on the back, and it has a couple of black and pink jagged lines running through it. After shopping we hitched a ride home with Jasmyn and Rhy.
The trip home went so quickly and was rather eventful; we were being stalked by a two people in a bright yellow car. One of them was a man wearing a handercheif around his face like a cowboy and the other was a woman who was wearing a burqa’. They were waving there fingers at us and driving extremly close. After we drove away from them at a T intersction they wound down their windows and continued pointing/laughing. It was really scary! Sav is convinced they were casting a spell on us hahaha.
As soon as I got home, (around 6.30pm) I was greeted by a group of drunk people who were over to celebrate my sisters birthday. I was exhausted but decided to join them. The night was decent even though I did spend the majority of my time making sure those who were projectile vomiting were doing so in the toilet and ensuring that my 13 year old neighbour didn't pass out and get caught by her parents. After a while I ended retreating to my room with a packet of chips and Kill Bill.

So those were the events of my weekend. It was so much fun, I can't wait for Groovin next year. Or maybe you would like donate funds towards my trip to Splendour?

Ciao x

Stuck in a giant Rut

I ask myself on a regular basis why I had to finish school in the middle of a global recession. But really, I have no idea what to do. Uni isn't an option at this point in time and its proving difficult to find a full time job. If I stick with my current routine, (wake up at 12pm, eat something I probably shouldnt, Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah, then back to bed) I will probably die of boredom and/or obesity. I neeed change!

Here it goes?

I've only been vegetarian for just over four months now and it's already driving me insane how often certain people literally wave meat around in my face and suggest that I take a bite. Meat does not gross me out! But why bother trying to anyway? I just don't want to eat it for now. So if you do this to anyone you know give them a break, it really is frustrating.
